The Iqbal Auditorium at IMCB H-9, Islamabad, was filled with excitement and anticipation on the morning of June 23, 2023, as it hosted the farewell party for the graduating students of Semester 8 of BS Computer Science, BS Islamic Studies, and BS Physics, along with Semester 4 of ADP Islamic Studies. The event was meticulously organized by the enthusiastic students of Semester 6 of BS classes and Semester 2 of BS Islamic Studies, determined to create a memorable farewell for their fellow students.
Under the distinguished chairmanship of Prof. Javaid Iqbal Mughal, the esteemed Principal of IMCB H-9 Islamabad, and the coordination of Prof. Ghulam Qadir Abbasi, the Vice Principal Academics, the departments of Computer Science, Islamic Studies, and Physics came together as organizers to ensure a successful event.
The farewell party commenced with a beautiful recitation of the Holy Quran by Sardar Ikramullah Khan, a student of BS Islamic Studies Semester 8. His soulful recitation set a serene atmosphere for the ceremony. This was followed by a heartfelt recitation of a Naat by Talha Ashraf Qadri, a student of BS Islamic Studies Semester 2, which further elevated the spiritual ambiance of the gathering.
The senior faculty members from the Department of Urdu i.e., Prof. Adnan Mehmood Siddiqui and Prof. Shahid Mehmood, extended invaluable support in assisting the student anchors and speakers with the script. Their guidance and expertise played a crucial role in ensuring a seamless and engaging conduct of the event.
Sohail Siraj, a student of BS Physics Semester 6, showcased his brilliance as an anchor during the farewell party. With his charismatic presence and eloquent communication skills, he effortlessly engaged the audience and kept the event flowing smoothly.
The Class Representatives (CRs) of each program then took the stage to deliver speeches, expressing their gratitude and fond memories of their time at the institute. Rehan and Aqif , both from BS Computer Science, Semesters 6 (Host) and 8 respectively, shared their experiences and heartfelt messages. Shahab Tariq (BS Physics Semester 6) shared the pleasant memories of his class that they cherished with the students of outgoing semester and Shahroze Ahmad, the Class Representative (CR) of BS Physics Semester 8, reminisced about the academic journey of the pioneer session of BS Physics in IMCB H-9 Islamabad. His confident and professional demeanor, combined with his ability to connect with the audience, made him a standout speaker for the ceremony. Shahroze's exceptional speaking skills added an extra layer of excitement and enthusiasm to the event, leaving a lasting impression on everyone in attendance. Irfan Haider, from BS Islamic Studies Semester 6, along with S.M. Nouman Aziz, from BS Islamic Studies Semester 8, and Ata u Rehman from BS Islamic Studies Semester 2, added their unique perspectives to the event. Rana Usama, a student of ADP Semester 4, also shared his thoughts, highlighting the significance of campus life and the impact it had on his educational journey.
The ceremony continued with captivating performances by the talented students. Shahab Tariq, a student of BS Physics Semester 6, delivered an emotional speech that touched the hearts of everyone present. Atta ur Rehman, a student of BS Islamic Studies Semester 2, delighted the audience with a humorous poem, adding a touch of lightheartedness to the event. Atta ur Rehman also sang a Thank You Poem for the teaching faculty and his melodious and poetic note of thanks was much applauded by the participants.
Dr. Muhammad Imran, Assistant Professor of Physics and Drawing & Disbursing Officer (DDO) represented the Department of Physics and delivered an inspiring speech. Dr. Safdar Zaman, Associate Professor and Head of the Computer Science Department, spoke on behalf of the Department of Computer Science, sharing words of wisdom and encouragement. Dr. Khalid Hameed, the Head of the Department of Islamic Studies and Chief Coordinator of BS Programs, highlighted the college's resilience during the days of COVID-19, acknowledging the dynamic leadership of Prof. Javaid Iqbal Mughal, the Principal of IMCB H-9 Islamabad.
Prof. Ghulam Qadir Abbasi, the Vice Principal Academics, took the stage to offer career advice and guidance to the graduating students. His words of wisdom resonated with the young minds, inspiring them to navigate the challenges of the future with determination and perseverance. He sang a farewell song to the departing students, his heart-felt and melodious performance was a sensation for the participants.

The much-awaited moment arrived as Prof. Javaid Iqbal Mughal, the Principal of IMCB H-9 / Chair of the Ceremony, delivered the closing speech. He applauded the students, teachers, and the organizing team for their hard work and dedication. Prof. Mughal advised the students to face life's challenges with courage and emphasized the importance of hard work and innovation, especially for the science students who were encouraged to pursue research. His poetic words left a lasting impact on the audience.

The event concluded on a patriotic note with the National Anthem of Pakistan, filling the auditorium with a sense of unity and pride. Group photos were taken, capturing the memories of this special occasion. To end the graceful ceremony, a delicious lunch was arranged for all the student participants, providing an opportunity for them to socialize and cherish their final moments together.
The farewell party for the graduating students of Semester 8 of BS Computer Science, BS Islamic Studies & BS Physics, and Semester 4 of ADP Islamic Studies at IMCB H-9, Islamabad, was indeed a memorable event. It was a time to bid farewell to the cherished memories and friends, and to embark on new journeys filled with hope and aspirations.
