BS/ADP-Islamic Studies

Bachelor of Science / ADP (Islamic Studies)

 

Objectives

¨       To provide in-depth knowledge of basic Islamic Sciences such as al-Quran, al-Hadith, al-Fiqh, Islamic History, Islamic Thought, Seerah, Islamic Culture and Islamic Civilization.

¨       To provide basic skills of pure sciences and social sciences that are required to be performed by a graduate. 

¨       To create better understanding of Islam and contemporary challenges faced by the Muslim Ummah.

¨       To prepare scholars, who can participate in advance research activities.

¨       To establish a cadre of professionals in the domain of Islamic Studies who can be potential candidates of post-graduate and doctorate level studies.

¨       To make the students of Islamic Studies capable of understanding and solving current contemporary issues in the light of Islamic teaching.

BS (Islamic Studies) 4-Year Program comprises of EIGHT Semesters.
ADP (Islamic Studies) 2-Year Program comprises of FOUR Semesters.

Faculty

All the faculty members in the Islamic Studies department possess requisite academic and professional qualifications including Ph.D. and MS/M.Phil. They are regular government employees and have vast teaching and research experience.

Eligibility for Admission

§  At least 50% marks in the HSSC or an equivalent examination for BS

§  At least 45% marks in the HSSC or an equivalent examination for ADP.

§  Below 22 years of age at the time of admission.
