Admission Policy

General Instructions

Following general instructions will be strictly followed in the process of admission to different disciplines.

1.       A candidate domiciled in FATA/FANA will not contest against a reserved seat/quota if he has qualified SSC/ HSSC examination from any institution outside the territorial jurisdiction of FATA/FANA. However after the admission process is completed, and there are vacant seats against this category, admission may be granted with FATA/FANA domicile.

2.       Top three position holders from any board will be eligible for admission in F.A/F.Sc/I.Com regardless of the basic eligibility criteria i.e. proof of residence.

3.       Students seeking admission on sports quota should have participated in sports activities at the board level. They will submit, along with the application form, a valid certificate issued from the relevant board certifying their claim. Merit within sports quota will be determined after addition of points obtained as per following criteria to the total marks obtained by the applicant. In this regard, final decision regarding admission on sports basis will be made by the sports committee after holding trials.

a.       Acceptable Sports Certificates for admission on Sports Quota

·            1st Prize/Championship in an individual/team event at board level.

·            2nd Prize/Runner up in an individual/team event at board level.

·            3rd Prize/Runner up in an individual/team event at board level

·            Participation in an individual/team event at board level.

·            Participation at national level as a team member or in an individual event

4.       If any seat(s) against any quota are not fully utilized due to non-availability of eligible candidates, the same will stand transferred to the Open Merit quota. However, proper documentation of transfer of each seat shall be made for verification, initially by the Director concerned, to be consented finally by the Director General.

5.       No casual admission will be granted.

6.       Admission will be granted only once in an academic year on dates fixed by the College/FDE after the declaration of results by the Examination Boards.

7.       The candidates placed in compartment in SSC/ HSSC examination may compete for admission after clearing the subject(s) in the same year within prescribed time limit fixed by the FBISE, subject to availability of seats in the institution or next year as fresh candidate.

8.       Candidates seeking admission with a gap of one or more years may be considered for admission, however they will have to submit an affidavit of good conduct duly verified by head of the institution last attended. Reason(s) of the gap should also be clearly stated in the affidavit. Merit of such candidates will be determined after deducting five marks for each year of the gap from the total marks obtained by them. The college shall determine the years of gap to be considered for admission.

9.       The number of seats will be determined by the institution in each faculty after careful consideration of physical facilitates and the teaching staff available. However, the number of seats will be finalized by Federal Directorate of Education in consultation with the head of the Institution before commencement of the academic session.

10.   All foreign students are required to route their applications for admission through respective / concerned Ministry, Government of Pakistan.

11.   Twenty (20) marks will be added for Hifz-e-Quran for admission at all levels. Candidate has to prove/provide a certificate of successful completion of course from registered/recognized institution

12.   Migration cases, eligible for admissions as per policy, will be entertained by the institution where seats are available, provided that the merit in the desired discipline of the institution is not compromised. No local migration will be allowed. However the relaxation in rules may be permitted by the competent authority i.e. Director General, Federal Directorate of Education keeping in view the genuine hardships on case to case basis.

13.   Notice for calling the applicants for admission would be advertised in the Press by the Federal Directorate of Education, Islamabad.

14.   Every successful applicant will submit an affidavit on legal stamp paper, solemnly assuring the Principal that he will refrain from participating in politics or in any subversive activity during the course he remains on the college roll. His Parent/guardian will endorse this undertaking and will further under take that his ward would be liable for removal from the college roll if he participates in political activities and does not abide by the rules/regulations of the college.

15.   In case any person other than father/mother of the candidate is guardian, a proper affidavit/ guardianship certificate will have to be submitted. Guardianship other than real grandparents, elder brother/sister and Maternal/paternal uncles shall not be accepted.

16.   Students are expected to exercise their choice of subjects carefully with due consideration. Ordinarily, change will not be allowed to the choice once exercised. However in cases of extreme hardships change of subjects may be allowed within maximum of two weeks after commencement of the classes. This change, of course, will be subject to the condition that a candidate admitted in a group of low merit does not opt for a group of higher merit.

17.   The last date for admission fixed by the Federal Directorate of Education shall be strictly adhered to. In case the Principal is in need of filling the vacant seats after the expiry of the stipulated admission date, he will seek formal permission from Federal Directorate of Education.

18.   Attendance criteria prescribed by the Federal Board and the University will be strictly adhered to.  The Principal will ensure that transparent, regular and unambiguous record of daily attendance is maintained at all times on an accountable roll call register.

19.   Hostel facility shall be provided subject to availability. However, it is not right of the students in any case.

20.   The last date for admission fixed by the Federal Directorate of Education shall be strictly adhered to. In case a Principal is in need of filling the vacant seats after the expiry of the stipulated admission date, he will seek formal permission from Federal Directorate of Education.
