Islamic Republic of Pakistan got its unanimous constitution in on April 10, 1973, Upon completion of 50 years of its promulgation, Golden Jubilee Celebrations were organized at the College to commemorate the visionary elders who unanimously approved the 1973 constitution. Introductory speeches were given by the faculty members to highlight the salients of 1973 Pakistani Constitution, followed by a speech competition amongst students of the college. The event was held at College auditorium on April 10, 2023 (Monday). The event was presided over by the honorable Principal, Prof. Javaid Iqbal Mughal, and the chief guest for the occasion was Prof. Asadullah Ghalib Gondal, (retiring on April 19, 2023.)
The event was attended by BS students, teaching faculty, and non-teaching staff, all eager to celebrate this significant milestone in the history of the Pakistani Constitution.
Several student speakers, including Roohan Ali Shah, Aizaz, Muhammad Hassaan, Shahroze Ahmed, Muhammad Riaz, and Ali Riaz Arshad, delivered impassioned speeches on the importance of the Pakistani Constitution and its role in shaping the nation's destiny.
The esteemed teaching faculty also contributed to the event with their insightful speeches. Prof. Shahid Mehmood Chaudhary, Prof. Abdul Qadir Memon, Prof. Tariq Iqbal, Prof. Ghulam Qadir Abbasi (Vice-Principal Academic), and Prof. Ahmed Jamal (Vice-Principal Admin) all shared their perspectives on the significance of the Constitution and its impact on society.
Prof. Manzar Zafar Kazmi, Head of English Department / Chief Judge of the Declamation announced the victors of the declamation contest. Ali Raza Arshad from BS Computer Science Semester II stood first, Muhammad Hassaan from 2nd Year E-2 grabbing the second while Shehroze Ahmed from BS Physics Semester VIII securing the third position.
In concluding remarks by the honorable Principal, Professor Javaid Iqbal Mughal extended his best wishes for the Chief Guest and retiring Prof. Asadullah Ghalib Gondal and thanked the all concerned who have worked very hard for organizing the event. He especially thank the administrative team and support staff for making all necessary arrangement for this successful event.
Principal, Vice Principal Academics and Vice Principal Admin along with Chief Guest gave away prizes and participation certificates to the contestants.
Event ended gracefully with a vote of thanks.
